Get a Jump on Coaching for Spring and Fall 2023 Teams!!!

You may register for all classes by clicking through the AYSOU link on your Volunteer Page. All courses require you to register as a volunteer and complete the online Safe Haven, CDC Concussion, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses before enrolling. If you've taken these safety classes in the recent past, you won't have to repeat them. 

Local Training Courses

Claremont AYSO will offer  local training courses over the summer.
Look out for classes that will prepare you to coach U6, U8, and U10.

FINDING COACH TRAINING

Coaches must be trained to coach at the age level they intend to coach before practices begin.

All coaches must pass AYSO's online battery of safety courses -- Safe Haven , CDC Concussion,  and Sudden Cardiac Arrest -- as well as SafeSport before beginning to work with players.

Follow these instructions to find and register for your appropriate course. If you've already registered as a volunteer, skip Step 3. 

Step 1 – Login to your account at www.claremontayso.org.

Step 2 – Navigate to the "Volunteer" tab under your account.

Step 3 – Click the "Find Volunteer Roles" button and register as a coach for the season you intend to coach. (You may have done this when you registered your child.)

Step 4 – On your Volunteer page, click on the "AYSOU" button

Step 5 – Once redirected to AYSOU, click the "Training Event" tab and search for the class you want. You may search by date or by class name.

(Make sure to remove the "Region 3" filter at the top of the screen to locate classes outside Claremont.) 

Step 6 - Click the "Enroll" button next to the desired course. 

Follow the same pathway to find the safety courses, but at Step 5 click "Training Library" > "Safe Haven" > and find the class(es) you need.
